Wonderland – A True Story by Dana Al Mojil

We are proud to have such talents in this region, someone like Dana Al Mojil, a Kuwaiti producer/director/screenwriter created an adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” that is filmed in Kuwait. The film reflects the sociopolitical similarities between the modern-day situation in Kuwait and the concept of Alice’s Wonderland.

Producer Dana Al Mojil was the Winner of  Special Jury Prize and was also the Winner of the Best Director at the Gulf Film Festival 2012. Very proud to also mention that Dana Al Mojil was the Grand Jury Award Winner for her film Wonderland in 2011 for the Zero Film Festival.

I haven’t watched it myself but I have heard a lot of good reviews about how detailed the custom design was, the ideas expressed in the film, as well as the quality of the production, and performance.
